Stephan Kerff
After completing his training in accounting and a bridging programme at HEC (Liège), Stephan began his career at the SPF Finances, where he specialised in VAT. It was not long before he joined the Special Tax Inspectorate as part of a VAT fraud unit. During the first half of his career, he developed his technical knowledge of VAT and direct taxes by taking a cross-functional approach.
He was keen to revitalise his professional career and obtained a complementary Master’s degree in tax law (SME focus) at HEC (Liège) before taking the aptitude tests of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, first as a tax advisor (specialising in VAT) and then as a chartered accountant (ITAA certified).
After his initial experience as VAT Director for Wallonia in an international organisation, he wanted to expand his activities within his own structure in three main areas: training (as a lecturer at the Belgian Chamber of Accountants in Liège and VAT trainer as part of the continuing professional development programme for chartered accountants), providing accounting and tax support for SMEs with a strong digital approach focusing on effective monitoring in both taxation and management, and, finally, offering support in VAT analysis and litigation for fiduciary firms. He also holds responsibilities within the ITAA (Tax Commission) and as a legal expert.
Stephan has decided in 2025 to integrate his company into Neoviaq in order to add a cross-border Belgian-Luxembourg dimension to his range of services and, more importantly, to join a rapidly growing organisation aligned with his values of quality and customer service.
